As I drew this I kept telling myself "It's ridiculous to spend this much time on a drawing of a tree!" The main reason it took so long was that I wasn't sure how I wanted it to turn out - I just felt I was due for an experiment. This is a mix of watercolors, chalk and pencil on a yellow-ish textured paper. I probably could have done a better job scanning it... The colors are more defined on the original, the black is darker. Either way I'm pleased with how it turned out. It's too bad I can't always take the time to play with colors like this.
