For those who didn't know, I had to skip a few updates because I'd hurt my back pretty badly, but I'm feeling better now. I'll just have to be careful for a while. Don't sit in uncomfortable positions all day, kids! : )

I was really looking forward to drawing this page, if only to show that Joshua really does care for Aude. I'm so glad I get to finally draw him, period. I'm absolutely in love with Josh! I'm pretty sure it's unhealthy to fangirl over your own characters... but then again we artists are supposed to be freaks : )

A while ago, I've received a comment from a reader who thought the part about 8~9 year olds making plans to run away from home wasn't very believable. I envy that person's childhood : ) When I was a child I made countless plans to run away from home - but like Aude, I was too much of a coward to ever act on them. This scene was actually inspired by a conversation I've had with my brother when we were around that age, in which we wondered exactly how long we could survive in the woods on our own. We were fairly certain we could find enough food there to last us until winter... but we weren't too sure we'd enjoy the snow part : )
