I was dying to get to this scene for a long time, so drawing this page has been the most fun I've had for a while. I love drawing children, and close-ups, and shading with the tablet is so much fun... Even though I couldn't help but get all choked up when I drew Joshua's busted eye.

I assume you all figured out that this is a childhood flashback, and that the boy is Joshua? I didn't just spoil something huge, did I? (-_-);

I have to say, I expected you all to scream a certain something in unison when I first posted the sketch. I'm a little puzzled that it hasn't come up... but then again maybe it wasn't so obvious without the color. I'm just gonna wait patiently with my arms crossed until someone says something : )
