Chapter 8 : Nightmare by Biev

Fainting Spells, Chapter 8 : Nightmare, page 3. It's the classic ankle-grabbing monster who lives under every child's bed... Hence the expression "hop out of bed"!

So, in case you didn't get the memo, the vote buttons have moved under the shoutbox, and if you click on them, you'll be able to see a sketch of the next page.

Were you wondering why Aude was naked on the last sketch? This is probably obvious, but I'll tell you. It's always better to draw the body first, then add clothes on top, otherwise you might end up with anatomy or proportion problems. Back when I couldn't draw bodies, I used clothing to hide the flaws in my drawings. But I was 11, so I think I can be forgiven ^.^;;

I used watercolors for this page. I wanted just a hint of color, so I lowered the saturation and upped the contrast. Here is what the original looked like (it has some blue and purple-pink). I'm selling it for 40$.

Oh another thing! I don't like to write sound effects. So please imagine the sound of your foot meeting the floor, of a hand suddenly grabbing your ankle, and of your bedroom door slowly opening ;o)

Wanna support Fainting Spells?

Donations are nice, but I figure if you help me out, you should get something in return. There are two ways you can really help me keep this project afloat :

• Buy original artwork or prints of the pages (email me to see if a page is available)
• Request something! I do commission work now. Email me with details of what you want, and I'll let you know how much it is.

A moth just flew out of your wallet? All your money went to textbooks and you live off of ramen and boxed mac&cheese? Here are some other ways you can help out :

• vote for FS using the buttons under the shoutbox
• write a review on your blog / myspace / LJ / favorite forum
• add it to your favorites on ranking sites (TWL, OnlineComics)
• link to it! (I've got banners here)
• tell your friends!
