As you can see on the left, my cat just had kittens
: D There were a whole bunch of complications as usual, but
the little guys are alive and well, and that's all that matters!

About the page : after working so hard on a detailed
sketch, I just couldn't bear to alter it with shading. The
scribbly feel comes from the high texture paper. I started
it on plain paper and didn't like the feel of it. It's much
more alive this way. (<-weirdo)
I changed the way Aude's parents look a bit - in the beginning,
I wasn't too sure what I wanted to do with them, so since
I couldn't decide on what they should look like, I just drew
what came to mind and of course they came out looking a lot
like my own parents. Aude's childhood is very loosely based
on mine, but her issues are not the same as my own - so mom,
dad, don't take it personal : )
I love drawing realistically, so this page was fun to draw.
I had good reference pictures, so that helped. All the background
text actually took just as long if not longer... but when
you stop to think about it, there's a million of enraging
things that all parents tell their kids. Well, I'm gonna be
optimistic here and say "most parents". I hope I
never repeat any of this to my kids, but we hear that stuff
so much, it just embeds itself into our brains! (-_-); Still,
I'll do my best.
Actually now that the characters are hiding most of the text,
it's a bit hard to make out what they're saying. If you look
really well, you might be able to spot a tiny "Happy
birthday, El!" in there : ) Actually her birthday was
yesterday, but oh well.Go visit her comic, The Broken Mirror
(if you haven't already bookmarked it, since it's been linked
on here for ages) :

Ah, the original for this page doesn't include the text
in the background and I'm selling it for 50$.
