I felt like experimenting a bit, so I bought some huge paper and I used some chalk. It turned out to be a pain though, for four reasons :

1) the paper was too big for the desk so I had to draw on the floor - always a bad idea. I couldn't look straight at it and it caused some proportion problems. Note to self, at least stick the page to the wall next time!
2) the chalk was wide and it was impossible to draw detail with that thing
3) the page was too big for the scanner so I ended up having to scan it in 6 pieces. It took forever and my computer was incredibly slow tonight, so that didn't help.
4) I have a young kitten who was determined to make this page her dinner >_<

I don't think the page is that awful, but the whole point of drawing on larger format is to be able to fit more details in, and that just wasn't possible this time. Shading with chalk is always fun though. I'm trying to give the pages a progressively darker feel, so I should be experimenting some more with the next few pages.
