My new scanner is INCREDIBLE! This is an unretouched sketch, I can't believe how well it came out! I did lose some shades of grey, but with practice I'll figure out how to catch them all, since everything is adjustable on this thing!

I had a really hard time choosing a scanner, and I've definitely made the right choice. I wanted something with a wide, flat structure, so that I could move large pages around without creating shadows, and with as big a scanning surface as possible (it scans legal size documents - anything larger was way out of my budget). I went for the HP Scanjet 8300 (500$ after taxes and shipping). It is a BEAST! It takes up my entire office ^.^;;

You know what I just realized? I think this is the first time I actually draw Aude smiling. She looks good, doesn't she? It's not even that much of a smile, but smiling eyes make a big difference : ) ...To me, at least!

I swear the amount of detail that goes into these pages just keeps increasing! Today's page took me ages. It's regular lead pencil - I used my fingers to shade. The original has more depth than what you see here. I'm selling it for 65$, email me if you want it!
