Leaving home #21

I actually completed tomorrow's strip, before I realized that I was missing this important bit of conversation. Important, because it established that Aude's boyfriend is not an insensitive jerk. Quite the opposite, he was being considerate and trying not to interrupt her confession. Something I need to learn to do, myself...

I could have uploaded tomorrow's art right away, but I hate it when I visit a webcomic daily and I skip a page without realizing it. There's nothing worse than reading a story backwards. Well, in my opinion. Then again, you might feel gipped because you're getting all text and virtually no art tonight. Well, just keep in mind that I worked very hard on tomorrow's drawing.

I actually lectured somebody today, for doing something that I'm doing myself. While registering Fainting Spells on TheWebcomicList.com, I commented on someone's art and told them to quit avoiding the problem and work on their sketches, rather than add a lot of color and detail to camouflage any mistakes. Well, that got me thinking. I've been pretty lazy the last couple of days. Floating heads are nice and all, but they're not exactly the greatest challenge. Just because I keep a crazy update schedule doesn't mean I have to half-ass every strip. If I'm going to keep this an art experiment, I need to concentrate on the aspects where I know I need improvement. Keeping this in mind, I tried to do tomorrow's strip in shadows. You'll see how it turned out.

By the way, I fixed the archive page. Right now I'm looking for an automated update script. I'm not too sure which one to go with yet, but I plan on doing a little site redesign once it's installed. I'll still try to keep it as simple as possible.

Oh. I also fixed strips 10 and 11. The text just sounded wrong.
