Well, things are starting to develop. It's very frustrating when you have a story in mind and you have to pace yourself to tell it! Hopefully, taking it one frame at a time will give me plenty of time to improve my ideas.

I actually went with black watercolor instead of yesterday's ink, because the camera captures the shine from the ink, and then I'm stuck with a ton of tiny white dots to fill. So far everything I've bought that said "Blick" turned out too shiny. I'll have to be careful with brands next time I restock...

In the end the effect was pretty much the same as regular ink, I did the black background first and then let it spread over the white parts with a wet brush. Some lines got blurred, but overall it came out nice.
